Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, a strong advocate for mental health awareness, has issued a stark warning, highlighting social media's significant role in contributing to depression, anxiety, and various challenges faced by teenagers across the nation.
The report reveals that a staggering 95% of teenagers aged 13 to 17 are active users of social media platforms. Additionally, approximately one-third of them admit to being consistently engrossed in activities like scrolling, posting, or other interactions on social media. In our current state, we lack adequate evidence to assert definitively that social media is safe enough for our children," Murthy stated during an interview.
It's imperative that we take proactive measures to ensure the protection of our kids. I encourage you to review the comprehensive report below and take the appropriate actions.
